As a well-used community hub — home to a Little League baseball field and a steady flow of families, players, and spectators — the park already draws people who spend extended periods of time on-site, making it an ideal spot for charging infrastructure that people can use without altering their routines. Its setting, buffered from the road by mature trees, offers a quieter, more pleasant environment than a typical roadside or commercial charging stop. And while Cedar Grove doesn’t see the traffic volume of a commercial hub like Canyon Park, it’s conveniently accessible to a large swath of Bothell neighborhoods, positioning it as a practical, community-centered charging option rather than a redundant one. Installing a charger here would meet residents where they already are, encourage EV adoption by reducing range anxiety for local trips, and reinforce the City’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure in the neighborhoods that need it most.
