Join us to learn about how to improve your home's energy performance and comfort with efficient and electric appliances. Perfect for both homeowners and renters! Feedback from the workshop will be used to shape the strategies and actions included in Bothell's first Climate Action Plan.
What to expect:
- Free snacks and childcare
- Discover available rebates and incentives for home energy improvements
- Learn about heat pumps, induction cooktops, and other electric alternatives to gas appliances
- Get tips on weatherization and energy-saving strategies
- Connect with local utility representatives and energy experts from PSE & SnoPUD
- Share your priorities, concerns, and feedback on the proposed climate strategies and actions list for the Climate Action Plan related to Buildings & Energy
Agenda:
11:00-11:15: Introduction from City of Bothell - learn about the Climate Action Plan and existing city initiatives related to buildings and energy (This presentation will be recorded and posted to the City website)
11:15-11:40: Presentations from Community Partners - learn about existing incentives and resources (These presentations will be recorded and posted to the City website)
11:45-12:30: Rotating Small Groups - share your perspective on proposed strategies and actions to promote clean energy and home efficiency - no prior expertise required!
12:30-1:00: Wrap-Up and Networking - open time to engage with partners tabling at booths, ask questions, and connect with other community members
